OMSI

On Saturday we went to OMSI. They have a great area for kids that are Leah's age. Leah was immediately drawn to the the balls. She became very possessive of them. She found a basket and filled it up, and walked around very proud of her balls. Soon, a sweet boy came up to Leah and tried to take one........I have never seen this side of my daughter before. She melted down. She screamed. She cried. She refused to share. Chris and I were at a loss for words. We looked at each other stunned, what should we do (besides go to Powell's and get more parenting books)? We quickly ditched the basket of balls, and removed Leah from the situation. Soon, she "cooled off", and we gave a little pep- talk about sharing. Before we had a chance to pull ourselves together, she had two more balls in her hands, that she held onto for the entire day.





Please notice her bare feet in the photos...while she was in the sand area, someone stole her socks, so she had to go without socks the rest of the day:)

Making up for neglecting the Blog...

I have been very lazy about keeping up with the blog these days. I found a new "time sucker" called Facebook. I have to learn to manage both of my online addictions.


We went to the mall a couple weeks ago. As we walked in a woman was leaving with her family, and gave us her mall stroller that was a fire truck. We were not sure how Leah would do, but she LOVED it. She loved driving us all over the mall, and sitting up higher.

Leah received a new wagon from Grandma Loudie, and John for Christmas. She absolutely LOVES it!

Bye Bye Auntie Hill.

Hillary left to go to Equador for awhile. She worked so hard at packing, unpacking, and weighing her luggage. We are all sad that she left, but are thrilled and proud of her determination, courage, and excitement. We already miss you Hill!

Christmas gatherings

Since we were unable to make it up to Seattle for the annual Christmas Eve gathering, we celebrated at our house.


A few days later we went up to Carl and Lin's and celebrated Christmas there.



Then, Chris' family came over and we celebrated again...

Enough is enough

Please let the snow melt soon, we are tired of being inside all day!
